MonTEC Renovation (Grant Assistance)
BREDD, Inc., in partnership with the Montana Technology Enterprise Center (MonTEC), the University of Montana and Rivertop Renewables were able to fund a large renovation of the MonTEC facility. BREDD helped coordinate the partnerships, gain support and write the Economic Development Administration grant application. MonTEC was awarded the $1.7 million dollar EDA grant with another $1.7 million coming from the University of Montana who holds a half interest in MonTEC. MonTEC is a business incubator whose goal is to help innovative research from the university transition into commercial ventures. Rivertop Renewables, a Progressive Chemistry company that emanated from UM’s chemistry department, will be the first tenant to benefit from the improvements.
