MARCY ALLEN – Executive Director
Marcy as Executive Director, oversees all activities at BREDD. She works with the board to provide strategic direction and vision for the organization. She started at BREDD as its first employee in 2006. Marcy’s background and passion for rural communities and experience in collaborative planning is a great asset to the BREDD region. Marcy has worked in non-profit management and business development since 2001. She has actively pursued economic development projects, adding two staff members to further BREDD’s efforts and impact in the region. She serves on the Vice Chair for Board of Directors for Missoula’s Families First and leads an active outdoor lifestyle.
MELISSA FISHER – Grants Administrator
Melissa is originally from Helena. She earned a BA in Business Administration at Jamestown College in ND, and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Washington. She’s worked for The Friendship Center (Helena’s domestic violence shelter); the King County Board of Ethics; as a private consultant to several nonprofit agencies; for the City of Seattle’s Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Prevention Division, as the Senior Grants and Contracts Specialist; and as volunteer staff at a yoga retreat center on the Big Island of Hawaii. She’s glad to back home in Montana, where she belongs.
KELLY YARNS – Program Development Specialist
Kelly, is BREDD’s Program Development Specialist, assisting with grant writing, website management, outreach and project management. Kelly started with BREDD as an intern in 2007 and when she graduated with honors on May 2009 from the University of Montana with her Bachelor’s degree in Economics, we hired her on full time. She is a successful grant writer and a great project manager. Kelly is an avid gardener and outdoor enthusiast.
