Bitter Root Economic Development District (BREDD)

The BitterRoot Economic Development District, Inc (BREDD) is the federally designated economic development district for western Montana covering Mineral, Missoula and Ravalli counties. BREDD brings together private and public sector stakeholders in a partnership that provides a coordinated economic development strategy for the region. BREDD serves local government, non-profit organizations, local development organizations and business service providers. BREDD, Inc was incorporated in 2002 and hired its first staff person in August of 2006. BREDD is supported by the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA) and is governed by a Board of Directors which represents local government and the private enterprises from the three counties. The quarterly board meetings are open to the public.
